Brendan Falkson is a director of Sign Power Investments (Pty)Ltd, the developer of Intaba Ridge. With a degree in Engineering from University of Pretoria and a diploma in Property Development from Wits, Brendan has always been interested in property and architecture.
In 1995, while still studying at University, Brendan became involved in property development through a civil engineering company that specialised in installing civil services for property developments. After completing his diploma in Property Development at Wits University, he had the opportunity to become the managing director, developer and 25% shareholder of Brettenwood Estate.
Intaba Ridge Private Game Estate stole Brendan’s heart in 2009, especially with it being so close to Pietermaritzburg whilst still remaining secluded, with amazing views from every one of the stands. He immediately bought a minority stake, but further down the track, Brendan and his partner John Dovey took up the opportunity to buy out the Vista Homes, and now they own 100% of Intaba Ridge Private Game Estate.
In Brendan’s opinion Intaba Ridge Private Game Estate is a unique development as it offers such wide open spaces and is still in close proximity to the capital city. It encompasses secure country living with urban city convenience. The development has also offered some rewarding opportunities for Brendan, like the rehabilitation of the farm into a natural bushveld haven with various large game species, including the endangered Oribi.
In addition, Brendan feels that this development is an opportunity to contribute to nature conservation through property development. With this in mind, it is his goal to create a unique estate where residents can enjoy nature as an extension of their backyards. In essence, living at Intaba Ridge Private Game Estate should feel like being away at a luxury game lodge but with urban city convenience on your doorstep.
